Firestone has confirmed to Motorsport.com that a cut tire was the cause of Josef Newgarden's airborne accident. INDIANAPOLIS - After speculation that the Chevrolets may be a bit too loose and is causing their drivers to lose control, Firestone has confirmed to Motorsport.com that Josef Newgarden's Thursday spin was caused by a cut tire.
