IndyCar penalizes Honda and others for Detroit violations
Honda was among those penalized. Along with the news that Helio Castroneves' GP of Indy contact penalty has been reduced, IndyCar has punished a number of drivers and teams for infractions during the Detroit doubleheader. Stefano Coletti - Fined $10,000 and placed on probation for three races for violating Rule 7.1.3.3 (reduce speed/yield to safety vehicles and personnel) during Race 2. Sage Karam - Placed on probation for five races for violating Rule 9.3.3 (Avoidable Contact) during Race 2.
