IndyCar: Newgarden stays top in Milwaukee’s second practice
Josef Newgarden was the second driver to break into the 170mph zone at Milwaukee Mile, and it was enough to push him ahead of Helio Castroneves and earn top spot in this morning’s practice session. The CFH Racing-Chevrolet driver lapped the world’s oldest active track in 21.4117sec, an average speed around the 1.015-mile course of 170.654mph, which was enough to edge the Team Penske-Chevy of Castroneves by 0.3mph. Graham Rahal maintained his season form – and form this weekend, in fact – to earn P3 and top Honda honors in the sole Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing entry.
