IndyCar: Kanaan and Dixon continue Iowa domination in FP2
Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevrolet took little time in stamping their authority over second practice at Iowa Speedway for tomorrow night’s Iowa Corn Indy 300. Tony Kanaan and Scott Dixon followed the same script they had used in the first session, and took just three laps to annex the top two times. Both CGR pilots lapped the 0.875-mile oval in 181.2mph during a session that was stopped twice for track inspections, the latter concerning a weeper in Turn 4. Behind them, Team Penske looked far more solid than in first practice, with Will Power, Simon Pagenaud, Juan Montoya and Helio Castroneves filling places 3-4-5-8.
