Aleshin rejoins SPM for 2016 season
– Mikhail Aleshin has rejoined Schmidt Peterson Motorsports for the 2016 IndyCar season.Aleshin, 28, contested the 2014 campaign full-time with SPM, which ended when he suffered multiple injuries in a violent crash at Fontana, and ran a third car for the 2015 season finale at Sonoma.Aleshin will compete alongside the fully recuperated James Hinchcliffe next year. Aleshin previously won the Formula Renault 3.5 title in 2010.
