Coyne in “serious talks” with Luca Filippi
Veteran IndyCar team owner Dale Coyne says he’s still in discussion with six drivers about his second full-time ride in 2016, but believes a deal with Luca Filippi could be imminent. Filippi drove four races each for Bryan Herta Autosport and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing 2013-’14 before becoming Ed Carpenter’s road/street course stand-in the year after, racing the #20 CFH Racing entry. His best result was second behind teammate Josef Newgarden in the wet at Toronto last year.
