IndyCar confirms "mild concussion" for Will Power
Will Power is sitting out today's IndyCar season opener at St. Petersburg, after feeling the effects of nausea. On Friday, he crashed heavily during the first practice session, but series officials said in a statement that he "displayed no signs of injury and was evaluated and cleared by the INDYCAR Medical team." Since then, they have confirmed that he sustained a "mild concussion." Power was set to start the race from pole position. This marks the first time he has missed an IndyCar race since the 2009 season.
