Giuliano Alesi, the 15-year-old son of former Ferrari Grand Prix star Jean, scored two pole positions on his racing car debut at Ledenon in France. Alesi – who has graduated to cars after a successful karting career – grabbed two poles for the season-opening French Formula 4 rounds.
