Kaiser wins easily, Jones takes points lead
Kyle Kaiser scored his first Indy Lights win since Phoenix in May, as the penultimate race in the Indy Lights championship saw Carlin Racing’s Ed Jones wrest the lead of the championship from Santiago Urrutia. From the second attempt at a start, Kaiser of Juncos Racing held firm, repelling the slightly superior getaway of Ed Jones. Meanwhile Urrutia dropped from third to fifth in just four corners, as Zach Veach of Belardi Auto Racing and Team Pelfrey’s one-off series returnee Sean Rayhall got around the Schmidt Peterson Motorsport car.
