Truex is still looking for a win
Martin Truex Jr. enjoys consistency with Furniture Row Racing but a win has eluded the No. 78 Chevy. KANSAS CITY, MO. — Martin Truex Jr. is having a remarkable season. He’s second in the Sprint Cup point standings for the first time since the eighth race in 2012. But even then, Truex had not enjoyed a string of seven top 10s leading up to his second-place ranking as he has in the No. 78 Furniture Row Chevy. Nor did he survive Talladega Superspeedway unscathed in the spring race three years ago. Truex’ fifth-place finish on the 2.66-mile track tied a career-best dating back to the fall race in 2006.
