Colombian driver Carlos Munoz has become the first driver to crack 230mph after topping the third practice session in preparation for the Indianapolis 500 on May 24. Munoz completed a searching evaluation in his #26 Andretti Autosport Honda, finishing with a best lap of 230.121mph (370.34km/h). Townsend Bell, running in the #24 The Robert Graham Special Chevrolet was second fastest in 228.96 (368.48) ahead of Ganassi’s Tony Kanaan who clocked 228.17 (367.20).
