A. J. Foyt planning to attend all IndyCar races in 2016
A. J. Foyt is showing no signs of slowing down or reducing his commitments in 2016 as he plans to attend all 16 races of the 2016 IndyCar season. Foyt, 81, is an icon of American motorsport who has enjoyed an involvement in racing spanning over seven decades. Foyt currently heads up A. J. Foyt Enterprises, which has a two-car entry in IndyCar and is represented by Takuma Sato (pictured with Foyt) and Jack Hawksworth. Foyt underwent triple-bypass heart surgery in 2014 that caused him to miss the opening five races of the 2015 season, while a knee replacement prevented him from going to Pocono or Sonoma at the end of the year.
