Filippi joins Dale Coyne Racing for St Petersburg
Lucas Filippi has joined Dale Coyne Racing for the 2016 IndyCar opener at St Petersburg this weekend alongside Conor Daly. The former GP2 challenger and Honda F1 test driver enjoyed a sporadic 2015 campaign in the United States series with CFH Racing taking a best result of second place in Toronto. The 30-year-old Italian is eager to secure a full-time IndyCar drive after three years on the peripheries, while Coyne Racing is aiming to run two cars for the full 2016 campaign, plus an additional two at the Indianapolis 500.
