Team Penske dominates third practice at IMS
Will Power led a Penske-Chevrolet 1-2-3 around the IMS road course as AJ Foyt Racing produced the fastest Honda-powered cars of the session, recovering from yesterday’s underwhelming performances. Power trimmed his fastest time of the event to a 1min09.3189sec – an average speed of 126.667mph – but was less than a tenth faster than teammates Juan Pablo Montoya and Simon Pagenaud. Scott Dixon survived a short trip across the Speedway’s wet but well manicured infield grass to go fourth fastest for Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevy.
