It was close at the top but Team Penske still had a little daylight on the field during Friday afternoon's second practice period for the Honda Indy Toronto. Simon Pagenaud (pictured) and Will Power showed their heels to the field with the 2016 Verizon IndyCar champion posting a best lap of 1m00.257s in his Chevy – two tenths quicker than Power's best of 1m00.484s. Scott Dixon and Graham Rahal led the Honda runners with top laps of 1m00.625s and 1m00.638s, respectively, around the extra-bumpy 11-turn, 1.76-mile street circuit.
