Rain disrupted Friday's second practice period at Mid-Ohio but not before Ryan Hunter-Reay put together the fastest lap of the day in his DHL/Andretti Autosport Honda. Hunter-Reay clocked a lap of 1m04.296s early on before a shower between Turns 3-5 made things slippery and curtailed action with about 15 minutes remaining in the 45-minute session. Most of the field got back out for the final few minutes but nobody was able to improve on their times. It was the first time all season Hunter-Reay has been fastest overall in a session and the 2014 IndyCar champion is looking to break his 30-race winless streak in Sunday's Honda Indy 200.
